A passage. A new day. A coastal symbol of revival.

911 SC Oaxaca

In Progress
May 2025 - Present

An incredible opportunity to completely
redesign a classic 1983 911 SC into something
wholely original. Inspired by the coast of
Oaxaca, Mexico, this is a culmination of my
design journey thus far. The process has been
a masterclass, in design storytelling, CMF and
working on a budget and scale I’ve never come
close to until now. This is Oaxaca.

This project is ongoing and very much alive. Thus far in the process, I’ve completed
research, art and CMF direction and layouts as the car starts to come together.
Oaxaca is expected to be a completed, driveable vehicle in
spring of 2026 in time to be presented at the
31st annual Amelia.

A passage. A transition. A new day. A coastal symbol of revival.

Here’s the story.

Revived in 1988

A celebration of the classics

Namesake of the Porsche Carrera

Oaxaca, Mexico A transitionary point in the race.

First nightfall

First major mountain climb

Beautiful coastline full of rich indigenous culture with tradtions of woodcarving and weaving

I latched onto the themes of revival I found in my research on the SC name and the Carrera Panamericana.  I felt the transitionary nature of Oaxaca resonated with these themes as did this car being a completely custom restoration project.
